aas an evangelical christian and a regisered republican, i find his refusal to pay for his own fund raiser sickening and a black eye to my faith and my political party. They are already accusing us of hob knobing with the rich and not caring about the average person,and he turns around and has a private $500 dollar a plate fund raiser and leaves the taxpayers of peoria a $38000 tab?

Hi Dan,
I really don’t understand your comment. The event you reference was a meeting with the President. Like it or not, this happens all the time. It was an event to raise money. Campaigns are pretty expensive.
I didn’t go. I don’t have the extra $500, especially with winter on the way! Instead, I purchased propane.
One of my congregants works for Aaron’s campaign. He has been at many free events. He may even stop by our Reformation Day Faire! Come along. You can say hello.
