Starting this Sunday, June 22, 2008, we will start a new sermon series at Providence Church called Embracing Oneness in Marriage.
Over the next several weeks, we will discuss topics such as God’s purpose for marriage, preparing for marriage (courtship vs. dating), the complementary roles of husbands and wives, dealing biblically with conflict, and discovering, as well as embracing, God’s sanctifying work in marriage.
It is a well known fact that the institution of marriage is under attack in our day. This is not only seen in the troubling divorce rate, both inside and outside the church, but it is also seen in the growing trend in families to live very separate, and often lonely, lives.
This is not necessarily a new problem. Using text from the book of Malachi as our base, we will discover how the marriage problems of today are rooted in the sinful heart of man. Yes, there are age-old problems that plague marriages. Yet the good news is that there are age-old biblical principles that can transform an impossible marriage into an incredible one!
We pray that this series will give new hope to existing marriages, and also help unmarried Christians better prepare for their own future families.

Would it be possible to get these sermons on line or e-mailed to me and my wife? Please let me know what I would have to do to obtain copies of these sermons! And please keep us in prayer as my wife is pregnant and dealing with a subchorionic hematoma which could be fatal for the baby. But I do know that the Lord’s will is perfect. And during this time God is dealing with me on being a servant to my wife and children!
