Abigail’s Timely Sermon Notes

Abigail Being PoshOur nine-year-old daughter, Abigail, often runs up to me after worship to share her sermon notes with me. She really pays attention! A pastor is always excited to hear that a parishioner is gleaning from the sermon, but overjoyed when it is one of his own children! I understand more and more that the only real inheritance we can leave to our children is living faith – a real trust in the finished work of Christ.

This evening, after hearing the latest on the condition of our dear friend, Eric Davis, I stumbled on a page of notes Abigail drafted from a few Sundays past. I pray these reflections will bless you as they did me…

Sermon: Living for Eternity Eccs 9:1-10, Pastor James McDonald

We will die when God tells us. God created us to live for eternity. We should live for eternity.

Solomon was telling us to be joyful people. Enjoy life! We should enjoy life by rejoicing in the Lord.

Enjoy your family! Work with all your might!

God is Good!

What a blessed testimony this evening.

Please continue to pray for Eric and his family. My wife has posted an update on the prayer requests here.
